Several Hundred Senior Citizens Expected to Attend

PHILADELPHIA, April 22, 2010 – – State Senator Larry Farnese today hosted Senior Expo 2010 at the Philadelphia Senior Center, 509 South Broad St.

Several hundred senior citizens from the First Senatorial District attended.

This is the second year that Senator Farnese has hosted the Senior Expo, and a second Senior Expo is scheduled for next week in Fishtown.***

Both Senior Expos feature representatives from local and state government agencies as well as public and private service providers, who will be available to discuss programs and services for older Philadelphians.

“I am pleased to offer these services to our older citizens,” said Senator Farnese. “Many are members of The Greatest Generation, and all have given so much of themselves to all of us. It gives me great pleasure to host the Senior Expos for them.”

Complimentary health screening, exhibits refreshments and a light lunch were provided.

Senior Expo 2010 is open to all senior citizens who live in the First Senatorial District.
