Senator Larry Farnese issued the following statement regarding the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden:

When I heard the news that Osama bin Laden was dead, I immediately thought of the people in the Towers that day and the people on Flight 93 who showed such unbelievable bravery and courage in the skies above Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We will always remember the words ‘Let’s roll’ as words that defined the heroic spirit of the people on that plane.

I commend President Obama for his commitment and dedication to finishing the job that our country began almost 10 years ago.

I am very proud of our Special Forces and our Navy Seals for this historic accomplishment and of our troops who fight so courageously and sacrifice so much for our country.

I doubt that anything can heal the pain of all those who lost family members and friends on September 11, but I do hope that there is some comfort in knowing that Osama bin Laden is dead.

As President Obama said last night, ‘Justice has been done.’
