PHILADELPHIA, February 4, 2010 – Senator Lawrence Farnese will join Rhea Hughes, Angelo Cataldi, Al Morganti and the 610WIP Morning Team Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 7:30am to discuss his first annual Valentine’s “Have a Heart for the Animals” partnership with the Pennsylvania SPCA.

Senator Farnese’s partnership will help shelter animals through a warm blanket and clean towel collection drive for the cats, dogs and other animals living at the shelter as they await their forever homes.

There is a tremendous need for warm blankets and clean towels for the dogs and cats at the shelter, especially during the winter months. The details of the senator’s “Have a Heart for the Animals” partnership to benefit animals will be announced at a news conference on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 11am at Senator Farnese’s District Office, 1802 South Broad St.

“I want to thank Rhea Hughes and the 610WIP Morning Team for helping me get the word out to help the animals at the shelter,” said Senator Farnese. “The dogs and cats at the PSPCA are among our most vulnerable members of society, and I appreciate their willingness to advocate for these wonderful and deserving animals.”
