Sen. Farnese Outraged Over Shooting of Honored Philadelphia Police Officer During Attempted Armored Car Heist
Philadelphia, Sept. 4, 2009 – “I am tired of hearing about our heroic police officers getting shot in the line of duty, protecting the people of Philadelphia,” said Senator Larry Farnese, after learning robbers shot Philadelphia Police Officer, Adrian Hospedale in the face Friday.
The shooting happened as the gunmen tried to get away after a failed armored car hold up in Southwest Philadelphia. Police say they arrested the robbers when their getaway car crashed.
Officer Hospedale, who is recovering in the hospital, is a valiant hero and recent recipient of the prestigious Daily News Fencl Award for his service and commitment to his duties as a police officer.
“I pray for this officer’s quick recovery. He is clearly a hero among heroes,” said Sen. Farnese.
