Sen. Farnese Announces Provisions for SEPTA TransPass Users After Strike
Philadelphia, November 9, 2009 – Sen. Larry Farnese is pleased that the union representing more than 5,000 bus, trolley and subway operators has forged a contract agreement with its employer, SEPTA. Workers had been off the job since 3am, Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
Now that the strike is over, Sen. Farnese wants riders who use TransPass to know SEPTA is offering credits for unused monthly and weekly TransPasses due to the strike.
SEPTA will give weekly TransPass holders an even exchange for another weekly pass.
Monthly TransPass holders will receive a credit of $20 toward their next TransPass purchase, through February 10, 2009.
