Senator Larry Farnese Attends White House Ceremony Honoring World Series Champs
Philadelphia, May 15, 2009 -Senator Larry Farnese was the only member of the Pennsylvania State Senate to be invited to the White House Friday, where President Barack Obama honored World Series champs, the Philadelphia Phillies.
State Rep. Bryan Lentz of Delaware County also attended the ceremony, as well as U.S. Sens. Bob Casey and Arlen Specter.
At the celebration, shortstop Jimmy Rollins presented the president with a shirt bearing the name Obama and the number 44, reflecting the fact that Mr. Obama is our 44th president.
