Harrisburg – March 18, 2019 – Sen. Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) has been reappointed to serve on the Pennsylvania Housing Advisory Committee and Legislative Data Processing Committee for the 2019-2020 legislative season.

“It is an honor to be reappointed to serve on these two important committees,” Farnese said. “In their own ways, both the Housing Advisory Committee and Legislative Data Processing Committee ensure that state resources are being fully utilized.”

The Housing Advisory Committee is responsible for reviewing housing support services and addressing the needs and priorities of housing programs statewide. The committee also advises the Department of Community and Economic Development in the coordination and preparation of Federal, state, and local housing resources.

“The advisory committee helps review policy and evaluate whether changes are necessary,” Farnese said.  “Given the demands for affordable housing, my service on this committee will continue to give advocates a voice for positive change.”

The Legislative Data Processing Committee oversees the Legislative Data Processing Center to ensure the establishment and operational capacity of the computer systems of the General Assembly’s committees, offices, and agencies.
