Harrisburg – March 7, 2019 – Sen. Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) announced today that two local organizations will be receiving grants through the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ Veterans’ Trust Fund.

VTF LogoVeterans Multi-Service Center, Inc. at 213 North 4th Street, Philadelphia will receive a $25,000 grant through the program, while the Military Assistance Project located at 2005 Market Street, Suite 3500, Philadelphia will receive $49,600.

“The Veterans’ Trust Fund is voluntarily funded by donations from Pennsylvanians,” Farnese said. “Because of their generosity, local organizations will be able to serve veterans who have selflessly given their service to this country.”

The Veterans’ Trust Fund is primarily funded by $3 donations made by Pennsylvanians when applying for or renewing driver’s licenses, photo IDs, or vehicle registrations. Proceeds from the sale of the Honoring Our Veterans licenses plate and private donations also contribute to the program’s funding.

“Thank you to all those who have donated to the trust fund,” Farnese said. “I am excited to see the great work these organizations can offer with the assistance of this funding.”
