Harrisburg – January 17, 2019 – State Sen. Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) said today that he was appointed as Democratic Chair of the Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee.

“Supporting local communities, aiding development and promoting business growth and jobs across all economic sectors continues to be a priority,” Farnese said. “Serving as Democratic chair of the Community, Economic & Recreational Development provides a platform for input on important legislation that impacts community development.

“We can do more to create new policies and craft legislative proposals to aid projects that will help our communities continue to grow.”

In addition to his appointment as chair, Farnese will also serve on the Senate’s Banking & Insurance, Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure, Rules & Executive Nominations, and Judiciary committees.
