Bike to Work Day 2019
We had a great turn out for the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia Bike to Work Day on Wednesday May 22nd. Providing easily accessible and well-maintained bicycle lanes in our city is an essential improvement for our community. Supporting efforts to increase safe bicycle transportation is important to cut down on traffic, cut back on pollution, and most importantly, keep areas safe for cyclists and pedestrians. This is why I introduced SB565, which would clarify and promote the use of parking-protected bicycle lanes on state roads, to ensure that the safely concerns that lead to the creation of these lanes on city streets are in fact a priority on state roads as well.
