Senator Farnese Responds to Governor’s Budget Proposal
Governor Wolf addressed a joint session of the state legislature to announce his 2019-2020 budget proposal. The governor highlighted improvements for Pennsylvania’s workforce and investments in education as priorities for this budget season.
“I believe that the governor’s proposed budget provides the framework to address many issues that are not only important to the residents of Philadelphia, but to Pennsylvanians statewide,” Farnese said. “Taking steps to raise the minimum wage, improve job training and technical education and create an economic atmosphere that will attract family sustaining jobs are key elements I agree with and support to move Pennsylvania forward.”
The senator is looking forward to hearing more details about the governor’s proposal as budget hearings begin in the Capitol this week.
