Greetings and happy February. I hope you and your family are taking care of yourselves, because I’m sure we all know at least a few people who are sick with the flu or bronchitis. This week I have three updates for you:
- First, I’d like to show you a speech that I recently gave calling for sensible gun legislation;
- Second, my staff and I are available to help you with your property tax and rent rebates; and
- Third, don’t forget to sign up for LIHEAP.
As always, thank you for your continued support and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need any further information.
Sen. Larry Farnese
Rally for Sensible Gun Legislation
I recently spoke at CeaseFirePA’s common sense gun legislation rally. The event, which took place in the State Capitol, brought together victims of gun violence, state and local officials, and gun control advocates to support legislation that protects Pennsylvania’s citizens, neighborhoods and schools.
Property Tax/Rent Rebates
If you need help with your property tax and/or rent rebate come visit my District Office. PA’s rebate program is designed to benefit Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded.
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is one of five programs supported by the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Did You Submit Your LIHEAP Application?
